The PivotalX.Ai Platform

PivotalX.AI enables is AI powered business process automation. The platform is purpose built for Enterprise Customers using Industry Standards including OpenAI, Microsoft Azure AI Services, Microsoft Azure Hosting Services, and Microsoft Azure Authentication and Security Services. PivotalX.AI was designed and engineered in collaboration with Enterprise Customers to enable the rapid AI transformation of simple to complex but high cost and high value business processes.

Process flow

The **PivotalX.AI Architecture** brings together a well-orchestrated mix of **cloud infrastructure**, **AI services**, and **event-driven architectures** to create a high-performance, scalable AI solution. Each component plays a crucial role in the system, and their seamless integration is key to delivering real-time, data-driven insights. This architecture represents complex engineering where the entire stack is designed to be **modular**, **scalable**, and **resilient**. Key challenges the platform solves include:

  1. Real-time data processing: Coordinating event-driven workflows while ensuring low-latency responses from AI models.
  2. Scalability: The platform is designed to automatically scale based on user demand, thanks to the use of **Azure App Services** and **Function Apps**.
  3. Security: Authentication, access control, and secure data transmission are foundational, using **OAuth2.0** and **Azure AD**.
  4. Data orchestration: Managing both unstructured and structured data efficiently with multiple storage solutions and ensuring fast retrieval.

The architecture efficiently integrates AI services and cloud infrastructure for high-performance and scalable solutions, enhancing user experience and optimizing business workflows. Key solution components and their role are described below (reference previous graphic slide):

  1. Authentication & User Access: Users securely authenticate via Azure AD Domain Services using OAuth2.0, ensuring controlled access to the system.
  2. Front-End Application: The Azure App Services front-end manages user interactions, sending and receiving requests to/from the backend.
  3. AI-Powered Backend: Backend operations are driven by Azure Function Apps and APIs, processing user queries and preparing LLM prompts.
  4. Data Storage & Retrieval: The system integrates with Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Server, and a Vector Database for efficient storage and retrieval of data related to AI models and application needs.
  5. AI Services Integration:
    1. Utilizes Azure AI Services (Document Intelligence, Translator, Vision) and OpenAI for text processing, LLM output, and AI-driven communication.
    2. Azure Search provides relevant contextual data for enhancing LLM query accuracy.
  6. Event Handling: Azure Event Grid monitors system events and triggers updates as necessary.
  7. Monitoring & Telemetry: OpenTelemetry, Azure Cosmos DB, and Application Insights are used for system performance monitoring, ensuring real-time visibility into system health and performance.
  8. Azure Communication Services: Supports seamless integration for communication APIs, enabling AI-powered interactions across different media.
